Dr. Birsen KESGİN ATAK has been an Associate Professor at Izmir Democracy University, Department of Landscape Architecture since 2022. Her research interests include multifunctional urban planning approaches and reconnecting the natural systems and people in landscapes.

Dr. ATAK led the LULC classification in WP 2 and change and transition analyses in WP 5. She also supports researchers in the creation of the database in WP 1, development of future LULC scenarios in WP 3, the mapping of ecosystem services in WP 4, correlation analysis in WP 6, and the development of spatial strategies and solutions in WP 7.
